Arturo Luna López (1926-1978) is one of those artists who leave their mark, a legacy that Unfortunately, in societies like ours, with the passage of time, it fades little by little. until it is lost in oblivion. For this reason, it is important to transcribe the writing that Moisés Becerra (1926-2018) dedicated to the artist Luna shortly after his death. It was published in three parts in the newspaper El Día in its editions of Saturday 10, Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 June of the year 1978 with the meaningful title of The Value of Kaolins, a way of honoring the primary material with which the artist Luna worked from its early beginnings. In fact, Becerra mentions in his writing that in 1953 when they were both studying in Italy, Arturo Luna showed him in a conversation in Rome a little blue bag that he always kept in his shirt pocket where he wore the first oxides with which he worked in his initial years of study at the School Nacional de Bellas Artes at its early 16 years of life, which demonstrates the attachment to its roots and the pure love for the homeland at that moment to them so far away.
