Abstract

This essay was born from reading the book by Ambassador Rafael Leiva Vivas entitled Validity of the wise Valley. It is a tribute to this great work that summarizes like few others the transcendence of the hero and the validity of his thought in Honduras and Central America of our present. It is both a tour of the different representations of the hero throughout our past history, from 19th century engravings, tributes in sculpture and easel painting where renowned artists have portrayed him, as well as the description left written by different personalities of our life political and intellectual.
