Abstract

On Tuesday, May 19, 1970, the National Autonomous University of Honduras, through the Directorate of University Extension, inaugurated the exhibition of 21 works by the artist Canales in the Library Building in the José Trinidad Reyes University City in Tegucigalpa. The then rector Cecilio Zelaya Lozano would extend the invitation and inaugurate the exhibition accompanied by
university authorities, teachers, students, artists and personalities of the city's cultural life.

Author Biography

Álvaro Canales, National Autonomous University of Honduras

Prominent Honduran painter based in Mexico, he is one of the first graduates of the National School of Fine Arts and one of the most emblematic representatives of national plastic arts.
