Abstract

The present study addresses the contributions to the medical and educational field made by Dr. Jorge Haddad Quiñonez, who contributed to laying the foundations for profound changes in university construction and modernization (reflected in the last 15 years of institutional existence).
This character proposed the creation and inclusion of the strategic lines of the Essential Priority Program of La Reforma: ethics, identity, culture and citizenship; as well as valuable proposals for the formulation of a UNAH Cultural Policy and the creation of the University Academic Years, aimed at humanizing the knowledge of future university professionals. Some activities carried out by UNAH during the commemoration of the 2023 Academic Year around the exemplary life of Dr. Haddad Quiñonez are exemplified; valuable character of our institutional and national history.
