This essay is a personal reflection on the events that preceded the civil war of 1924. In 1919, almost the same actors carried out a similar armed uprising, with the solution to the conflict being part of the problem that broke out in the following presidential election in October 1923. These are the facts that are analyzed from the perspective of the national writte press and printed flyers that were the common norm for promulgating statements, harangues, attacks or criticisms of political rivals. Newspapers and magazines published in Tegucigalpa were consulted, which allow us to analyze a panorama of the development of the events, with those printed by the side that lost the contest being, to a large extent, scarcer. This meeting of extracts from the national writte press has allowed us to put together this essay as a way of seeing that the political situation that gave rise to the conflict of 1924 is repeated almost identically in each presidential election throughout the 20th century and unfortunately It extends into our 21st century. Only the names of the protagonists change, the rest is the same story of egos, ambitions and interests outside the benefit of society and the honduran nation.
