    The Bicentennial of Independence 2021

    The COVID 19 pandemic meant serious health complications that affected all areas of national life, also affecting the production process of the Magazine of the University in its 2020 edition, a call that coincided with the beginning of the appearance of the first cases in the country and the declaration of a national emergency in March 2020. Despite this, the process continued and could be concluded, being printed in its physical version and presented in its digital version, which can be consulted on the main digital platforms that Institution puts at the service of the university community and national and international public.
    In the Essay section, four articles were published by five authors who gave us their contributions on topics as dissimilar as pandemics, the participation of Honduras in fairs or the vision of explorers who toured the country in the second half of the 19th century, among others. In the Research section, ten authors share with us seven studies that they provide the knowledge generated from the academy. In the Art section, eight authors show the national artistic scene in two articles that address the subject of cinema and dance from an academic study of these art disciplines. The edition is reviewed in Cultural Management 2020 of the University Festival of Cultures, an event that brings together teachers, students, managers, artists and national and international public that through cultural presentations and artistic shows us a panorama of Honduran cultural life. In the Life section university, a synthesis of the development of education at a higher level is presented, as well as a study on critical thinking in two faculties of our University. In the year 2020, it commemorated the first centenary of the birth of the national sculptor Mario Zamora Alcántara, ephemeride that stands out in the Graphic Memory section of the magazine. In 2020 it will also celebrates the election of Father José Trinidad Reyes Sevilla as a figure to honor in the commemoration of the academic year extolling his life and his legacy, for this reason two articles that shed light on his career, including the full transcript of his biography dedicated to him by Ramón Rosa. And in the Editorial Novelties section, the main publications that our University has published and that are already available for the enjoyment of Honduran society and the interested public at the international level.
