Abstract

The research was carried out with students and professors of Economic and Administrative Sciences Area at URACCAN, Las Minas Campus, with the purpose of analyzing the usefulness of the virtual platform in the learning process. It is qualitative, with a phenomenological methodological theoretical approach; descriptive depth level.  The factors that favor the use of the platform are that virtual classes are developed, students document themselves and take responsibility for their learning. The unfavorable factors are access to the Internet, not having a computer, forgetting passwords and users to enter the courses. The tools with which teachers implement different methods, techniques and didactic strategies are content management, communication and collaboration, monitoring and evaluation, administration and assignment of permissions. The proposal has actions through technical and methodological conditions such as increasing Internet access, acquiring technological equipment, facilitating training and improving the design of virtual courses.
