Abstract

The present research was carried out with the objective of documenting the effectiveness of the teaching-learning processes applied in the subject of History in Secondary Education in the period 2010-2020, the study was carried out using the interpretive paradigm, the qualitative approach, Oral History as a research method and life history as a data collection technique. This was achieved by constructing the life story of a teacher and two History teachers from two Secondary Schools. The testimonies were supported by narratives made by students from the Juan Bautista Arríen and Fray de Jesús de Pamplona schools, both in the municipality of Ciudad Sandino. The students expressed that their teachers when sharing the contents of History make use of constructivist methodologies, they also stated that the most used didactic strategies are concept maps, timelines and different types of diagrams, they also highlighted the didactic resources they used are books of texts, blackboard, cell phones and tablets, the evaluation instruments most used are checklists, SQA and rubrics.
