The development of student scientific activity constitutes an essential component in the comprehensive training of future professionals, as it promotes the development of research skills, critical thinking, and commitment to solving social problems. However, in the Psychology–Pedagogy program at the University of Granma, several limitations were identified, including low student motivation toward research activities, limited participation in scientific events, and the repetition of research topics poorly connected to current socio-educational needs. In response to this situation, this essay aims to design and implement a strategic work system intended to stimulate students’ interest in scientific activity from the early stages of their academic training through the organization and strengthening of Student Scientific Groups (SSGs). The proposal is supported by the regulatory framework of Cuban higher education and by the integration of academic, research, and extension activities. During a ten-month implementation period, several actions were developed, including scientific discussion spaces, voluntary recruitment strategies, training activities, and organizational monitoring mechanisms for the groups. The results show improvements in student participation in scientific conferences, greater stability in tutoring processes, and a progressive incorporation of students into research projects and scientific dissemination spaces. It is concluded that the strategic organization of SSGs represents a relevant alternative for strengthening the research culture in university education, although it requires continuous evaluation and updating processes in order to respond to the challenges of the contemporary educational context.
