The objective was to determine the concentrations of heterotrophic bacteria and Vibrio from the reef Los Cóbanos and its relationship with physicochemical parameters. Water samples were taken from february-april measuring the physicochemical parameters temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, total dissolved solids and turbidity. The concentration of Vibrio occupied a high percentage of the concentration of heterotrophic bacteria. A correlation analysis was performed to show the relationships of physicochemical parameters with the concentration of heterotrophic bacteria and Vibrio. A principal component analysis showed a separation into three groups: group A-(february), group B-(march) and group C-(april). The concentration of both groups of bacteria was higher in intermediate concentrations of dissolved oxygen, turbidity and temperature with salinity of 0.9 UPS. The similarity analysis confirmed that group A has a statistically significant difference to B and C; the percentage of similarity showed that Vibrio contributed most to the separation of both groups.
