The course "Development of Art Education" was taught during the first semester of 2021, in the middle of confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This course is part of the curriculum of the Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences with a major in Basic Education at the Catholic University of El Salvador. This course, originally designed to be taught in a classroom format, had to be transformed methodologically to be taught entirely in a virtual environment using the Moodle platform. Using this opportunity, an action research was implemented a research known as “action research” to record the educational experience from the teacher's point of view and to corroborate the effectiveness of the didactic techniques used to develop this educational program. The teaching experience began with the elaboration of the work plan (syllabus) to the implementation and evaluation of the teaching-learning activities.
