Introduction: The coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental health of people worldwide, making it crucial to understand the effects it has had on the Salvadoran population. This understanding is essential for providing care and preventing mental health disorders. Objective: To assess the mental health status and the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the Salvadoran population. Methodology: A crosssectional quantitative study was conducted to describe anxiety, depression, and stress levels in Salvadoran adults aged 20 to 59. The study was carried out with a sample of 396 individuals, using non-probabilistic sampling. An online survey on the QuestionPro platform was used to collect the data. The results were presented using a Pareto chart, which allowed for prioritization of findings. Results: The main findings of the study indicate that 51 % of individuals do not experience depression, while 49 % do. Regarding stress, 61 % of participants do not experience it, while 39 % do. Finally, 59 % of respondents have anxiety levels, while 41 % do not. Discussion: Overall, the study reveals that the adult population is experiencing disturbances in levels of depression, stress, and anxiety. Further research is proposed to investigate the effects, impact, and management of mental health in the Salvadoran population.
