Abstract

The author presents the relative weight of each of the variables determining tourism demand for El Salvador checking econometrically the weight in the transport sector at the juncture of the three crises: food crisis, oil crisis and the financial were the basis on which outlined the most acute crisis for the international markets so it is timely to analyze the tourism sector in a quantitative manner. The study extends microeconomic aspects of consumer behavior and economic and social impacts in Salvadoran society, mainly.
