Abstract

One of the biggest challenges of the business sector is to be able to move forward, considering in turn the past that precedes it. This tension is experienced particularly by those companies that seek, on the one hand, to develop, but on the other, respect the environments they share with indigenous communities. This seems to get worse, when their productive activities bring with them an environmental alteration, which is usually coupled with a cultural affectation towards these original groups. The present article seeks to make an approximation, theoretical-argumentative, about the implications of business activity and its connection with indigenous communities. To this end, it is proposed to consider environmental and cultural issues on the agenda as a fundamental element for engaging in an open and inclusive dialogue between these groups and the business sector.
