Abstract

The traditional division between rich countries of the developed northern hemisphere and poor nations of the southern hemisphere is no longer sufficient; North and South coexist in each Latin American country.
Segmentation continues to worsen among education systems at the regional level and within the countries themselves.
At the same time, the emergence of a society based on knowledge and information contrasts both with the inequities of Latin American societies, where millions of people live in poverty, and with the growth of new generations in exclusionary societies affected by poverty. the globalization.
However, a renewed and articulated education with society helps to face this fragmentation. The importance of education as a key factor of human development and as a mechanism of social inclusion and demographic strengthening will be fundamental to overcome the vicious circle of poverty.
