Abstract

This educational reflection addresses the quality management systems of Nicaraguan Higher Education Institutions. It is a bibliographic review that internalizes, reflects and generates contributions on quality and educational management. In this sense, there is a direct relationship between good university management from the different areas and the quality of the educational service; and the application of quality standards is a management tool that promotes competitiveness and guarantees academic excellence. In short, there is evidence of the necessity to implement management systems that allow achieving high levels of organizational performance and, at the same time, excellent learning results for students.
