Quality management systems: An improvement in the quality of Higher Education Institutions in Nicaragua

This educational reflection addresses the quality management systems of Nicaraguan Higher Education Institutions. It is a bibliographic review that internalizes, reflects and generates contributions on quality and educational management. In this sense, there is a direct relationship between good university management from the different areas and the quality of the educational service; and the application of quality standards is a management tool that promotes competitiveness and guarantees academic excellence. In short, there is evidence of the necessity to implement management systems that allow achieving high levels of organizational performance and, at the same time, excellent learning results for students.

At the moment in which a work is accepted for publication, it is understood that the author gives the Electronic Magazine of Knowledge and Practice (RECSP) exclusive rights of reproduction, distribution and sale of his manuscript for exploitation in all countries of the world in paper magazine format, as well as in any other magnetic, optical and digital media.
