Objective. Analyze the existing scientific information on the different pulp regenerative treatment techniques as well as materials used in young permanent teeth with pulp necrosis.Materials and methods. An advanced biomedical electronic search was carried out using PubMed database and MeSh Terms (Medical Subject Headings) as keywords, to identify the number of available scientific articles regarding studies on treatments of pulp regeneration in young immature permanent teeth. The objective was to identify the different treatments, materials and techniques used and results obtained.
Results. Thirty randomized clinical trial studies were found, in which various treatments in pulp regeneration of immature young permanent teeth were used. Eleven articles were used for final analysis. Conclusion. There were different treatments, materials and techniques used for pulp regeneration that included variations in irrigating solutions, intracanal medications, number of appointments and coronal sealing material. However Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) was the most frequently used material. More research is needed to highlight a care protocol.
