Abstract

S.pyogenes is one of the most aggressive pathogens, with its main transmission path through the respiratory tract. The lack of data of the asymptomatic carriage in our country made necessary it´s determination to quantify the exposure to this bacterias´reservoirs. The aims of this study were to determine the prevalence of asymptomatic carriers of pharyngitis agents and qualitatively compare the result of the incubation with and without CO2.
