Meteorological phenomena such as gusts of wind affect El Salvador and are monitored by different weather stations around the country. To complement said equipment locally, the creation of a prototype of an ultrasonic anemometer was proposed, adding other monitoring variables, the ability to transmit data wirelessly through local IoT networks, developed from low-cost materials accessible in the country, making a comparison between them. Results obtained in laboratory tests were also presented to verify its operation based on standardized processes for this type of instruments.
