Abstract

The Puma (Puma concolor) is the second largest terrestrial mammal in America, and the fourth in the word, it is an adaptive predator whose hunting habits and territory have allowed it to be one of the larges feline species America, it is known due to its great strength, agility and is an important part of the natural environment in many countries of North and South of America, the benefits that Puma concolor provides to the ecosystems in which they inhabit are significant, these big cats help to maintain the balance of mature by contributing  to the regulation of the population of prey, such as deer, rabbits and wild board, the control of these populations helps prevent the spread of diseases between prey and herbivores in turn of forests an meadows in the regions.
