For 15 years, the Latin American Forensic Genetics Society has carried out a quality comparative, theoretical and practical interlaboratory exercise, whose main objective is to contribute to the strengthening of the participating forensic genetic laboratories. The results record published on the society's web portal (http://www.slagf.org) was analyzed, and the average error when analyzing autosomal STRs is 2.01% and 2.28% for STRs of Chromosome Y, during these years, an evolution of the methodology used was also observed, which is reflected in the number of errors detected. It is necessary to carry out a process of reorganization of the quality exercises to continue contributing to the strengthening of laboratories dedicated to forensic genetics.
