Abstract

The qualitative analysis of Agroindustrial engineers at the Latin American level addresses the necessary competencies for agro-industrial engineers in Latin America and their alignment with labor market demands, with a particular focus on Honduras. Through a qualitative analysis using Atlas.ti  software, general and specific competencies that these professionals must possess to meet the
demands of a sector in constant technological evolution were examined. The identified competencies include communication skills, capacity for innovation, interdisciplinary knowledge, and leadership in the agro-food industry. Additionally, potential employment areas such as food industries, quality laboratories, and research and development sectors were explored. The study underscores the
importance of adapting educational programs to labor market needs to ensure employability and the graduates ability to face sector challenges. This analysis is essential for educational planning and the sustainable development of the agroindustry in the region, fostering regional integration, innovation, and economic growth.
