The challenge of intercultural education in Nicaragua

This article is a contribution to the continuing debate on Bilingual-Intercultural Education in Nicaragua. The paper analyzes the impact that has had on the project, the production and distribution of school texts, as well as the training of the teachers that are part of the three technical teams that design and produce these materials. Also, the paper evaluates the difficulties and perspectives of the intercultural education in Nicaragua.
