Forest recovery continues in the RAAS

The issue of the impact of Hurricane Joan on the hurricane forest is the subject of CIDCA's analysis through the interaction of research actions between North American and Nicaraguan universities, and consequently between their researchers. The monitoring of the hurricane forest regeneration process, since 1989, has allowed us to know precisely the growth behaviors of the forest in its recovery process. In the article, the authors show us the possibilities of using the forest when we know the peculiarities of growth of the different species in the conditions imposed by Hurricane Joan, such is the case of the “zopilote” or vochysia ferruginea, highlighting the possibility of improving the use of forest resources.
