This report is the result of an oral assemblage of information about the history of the community creole and garifuna of Marshall Point, in the RAAS (South Atlantic Autonomous Region). The data gathered through conversations with cultural carriers and through the organization of a focal group, contribute to the knowledge of the origins of this community founded in 1816. The names of the first founders, the initial steps in its educational and religious organization, its economic activities and who are the present cultural carriers in the community.
