The agricultural sector represents a fundamental basis for authentic and enriching agroecological tourism experiences. The objective of the article is to describe the role of the agricultural sector and its contribution to agroecological tourism; following information search protocols in Google Scholar. Selection criteria were established based on the relevance of the content, the timeliness of the publications (prioritizing those less than ten years old), the methodology used and the impact of agricultural research. After data collection, a qualitative analysis of the texts was carried out, identifying patterns, key concepts and common conclusions that emerged from the literature. Twenty-four articles from indexed journals were identified, which provide a comprehensive understanding of how different countries address the intersections between agricultural heritage, cultural heritage and agroecological tourism. Particular interest in this topic has been observed in Latin America, Central America and Europe. In conclusion, proper management of the agricultural sector is crucial, as it allows for a harmonious integration between nature conservation, favoring authentic experiences for visitors.
