In this issue of Wani, we present the results of an assessment study of the archaeological heritage in the indigenous Rama and Kriol territories in the Southern Autonomous Region of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua (RACCS). For this purpose, an inventory of archaeological sites was created, which involved data collection, localization, classification, and characterization of archaeological sites. The team recorded 63 locations with evidence of cultural activities, mostly archaeological sites, of which 75% are sites registered for the first time using an archaeological research methodology. The study also included Angie, an archaeological site which dates back over six thousand years, where human skeletal remains were identified. The final article of this issue of Wani presents research results about these findings.
