Abstract

There is an erroneous belief among many of those who have some knowledge of local history, that the Reincorporation of the Mosquitia took place because of the hostile and threatening attitude of Chief Mosco against the Nicaraguan troops sent to this area by Zelaya because of his war with Honduras.
