Abstract

The search for a solution to the so-called ethnic national question has been one of the greatest and most complex sociopolitical challenges of modern times. Throughout this century, a wide variety of formulas have been tried in different latitudes aimed at collecting (or simply silencing) the demands of ethnic communities and indigenous peoples. All the models experimented have in common the eager interest in finding a system of insertion of such socio-cultural entities within the framework of the National State.
