This essay reflects on the importance of an articulated strategy between the education subsystems in Nicaragua: MINED, INATEC, SEAR and the CNU, for the identification, follow-up and monitoring of research and innovations created by students, allowing the continuity and strengthening of their ideas for the creation of innovative and entrepreneurial options. After a documentary review and reflections based on the experience, the contributions of the Learn, Undertake and Thrive program in the creation of knowledge from a research, innovative and entrepreneurial culture in students were analyzed. The need for a strategy that contributes to the integration of methodologies and plans in this area is highlighted, so that students, in the course of their educational process, can continue in these processes and have their proposals included in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems, as in the case of the creative economy model. It also highlights that the lack of coordination and articulation in research, knowledge management and innovation among the subsystems may result in fragmented efforts, duplication of resources and, ultimately, in less effectiveness in the educational process and in the development of research competencies in students.
