The purpose of this article is to analyze in general the concept of "competition" and its relation with the Regional Autonomous Educational System (SEAR). One of the SEAR main principles is the interculturality; for this reason, this review addresses particularly the intercultural competitions. The starting point of this concept is what is known as Program Oriented to the Integral Human Development (CODHI), which is a curricular scheme-project based on the humanistic and liberating tradition in the Latin American context. Likewise, the author takes advantage of the transfiribily concept to relate the notions of CODHI and SEAR.
