Abstract

The Education for Success Program (EduÉxito) has emerged, since 2010, as an innovative proposal to address the needs for growth and personal development of children and youth at social risk in the municipalities of Bluefields Kukra Hill and Pearl Lagoon. In October 2012, the program was expanded to the municipalities of Corn Island and Desembocadura de Río Grande. This article synthesizes the findings of the final report of the Baseline Study conducted by EDExito in 2013, to determine the initial situation of social risk faced by the youth population that will participate during the 2013-2017 cycle, and to observe the changes, in each beneficiary, attributable to the activities that the Program will develop with them.
