The Rama indigenous people excel in the construction and use of the bow and arrow. These people are located exclusively on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua, in the South Atlantic Autonomous Region (RAAS). The majority live in the municipality of Bluefields and a minority population is located in the municipality of San Juan de Nicaragua, in the department of Rio San Juan. The Rama are the smallest indigenous people in the country, with about 1,600 inhabitants.
