It is important that we are aware of the various techniques for approaching different pathologies in different medical specialties. This is particularly true in the field of otolaryngology, where maxillary sinus pathology is very common. As part of endoscopic sinus surgery, performing uncinectomy and maxillary antrostomy is mandatory. Understanding the different approaches available for treating maxillary sinus pathologies is crucial because conventional endoscopic sinus surgery often finds it difficult to adequately address the maxillary sinus. Therefore, recently, the prelacrimal endoscopic approach to the maxillary sinus has been proposed, through which it is more feasible to achieve better access to the maxillary sinus without altering the anatomy of the inferior turbinate and the nasolacrimal duct.Downloads
