Abstract

The arts contribute to people´s well-being. Music has been linked to ancestral customs as a mechanism for emotional release. More recently, there are reports of studies on how music has improved the psychological state of people who have experienced traumatic situations such as natural disasters, violence, and attacks. In our Honduran context, it is necessary that the State considers the teaching of music within the educational system and promotes the transmission of moral and ethical values in its youth.
