Abstract

The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) (IPCC, 2023) has been blunt. The global temperature has increased 1.1º C with respect to pre-industrial levels, and this has had an impact on the increase in extreme climatic events at a global level, which have shown the urgency of an effective and transformative climate action, which manages to reduce carbon emissions.
