Good afternoon, everyone, my thanks to Mr. Albert Sinclair for inviting me to the event. It was my turn to talk a little bit about the development poles. This term came about through the agreements signed by the Nicaraguan government for the ceasefire and demobilization. To us, the demobilized members of YATAMA, in 1992, the Nicaraguan government gave us a forested area in the region, specifically, 15 thousand manzanas which were given in the municipality of Waspam, in the territory of Tasba Raya, to 300 demobilized members of YATAMA. This delivery is backed by a property title from the Agrarian Reform and we have kept that land since 1991. Before the hurricane, we did not make much use of that land, with the eagerness coming from our indigenous culture to respect and take care of the forest.
