Panorama Field of Social Housing in the Sula Valley Region

Abstract

This research paper aims to present a perspective on the reality in the field of social housing in Honduras, focusing on the Sula Valley Region and the projects undertaken in the area between the year 2003 and 2013. Multiple deficiencies that compromise the quality of life of its dwellers was evidenced, ranging from general aspects of an urban character to specific architectural aspects of the dwellings. Specific recommendations were also generated as proposals for scenarios and management actions, such as urban planning and architectural criteria which could generate an improvement of these conditions.
