This paper addresses the concept of integrality from two contributions proposed by Latin American universities that problematize the integration of substantive functions from a paradigm of the hierarchy of research and linking in the educational act. The university society linkage is analyzed as an integrating axis of the UNAH Educational Model and a first approximation of the integration model of the substantive functions is presented, which is left to debate and reflection regarding its compression, characteristics and implementation. Finally, an experience is presented that has been executed according to the integrality model proposed in such a way that it can contribute to the reflection and replication for the integrality approach based on the educational model and the university relationship model in force at UNAH.
