Abstract

The complex changes in our societies have generated demands and demands on public universities on all continents, especially in the extramural role that they play, being seen in recent decades as disputed territories. These disputes and tensions require rethinking and recreating the dimensions (teaching, research and university extension) that underpin university work, the latter understood from Higher Education as one of its substantive processes.
