This article healthy lifestyles is the result of the
application of the Participatory Action Research
(IAP) process, it was carried out with the aim of
promoting a practice in the university community; the
improvement of physical, emotional and occupational
well-being; inquiring about perceptions (conceptions,
attitudes and practices) from personal and collective
experiences. The IAP was developed in two UNAN
Faculties - Managua (Rubén Darío University School
of Education and Languages and Multidisciplinary
Regional Faculty, Estelí). This was oriented within
the framework of the VI Module of the Doctorate
of Education and Social Intervention, II Edition
- This process represented an opportunity for
social reflection and intervention. This methodology
facilitated the analysis of reality as a form of knowledge
and awareness of the university community itself, as
active subjects and protagonist of the transformations
of its environment and reality, organized from four
phases: diagnosis, field work, program of integral
action, evaluation of the intervention and analysis
of results where the new symptoms were identified;
through participatory, experiential and reflective
methodology (focus groups, workshops, free listing,
perceptions test, photo ethnography).
