Abstract

The study was carried out at the Regional
Multidisciplinary Faculty of Estelí, with the purpose
of analyzing the factors that influence the vocational
orientation of men and women. This diagnosis
has a methodology with a qualitative approach, it
is composed of a population of 41 students, who
correspond to the careers of Engineering in Renewable
Energies and Social Sciences; A sample of 12 students
was used. To collect data and process the due analysis
of the information, a semi-structured questionnaire and
unstructured interview were applied. In the same way,
talks and workshops were applied to the groups of the
population under study. The students questioned state
that they received vocational guidance preparation in
the last year of secondary education. As a result, 70%
of the sample reported having received lectures, 20%
only took tests and 10% received lectures. In this way,
it is concluded the importance of applying different
methodological strategies that favor the development
of competencies in vocational training, as well as
personal development for the empowerment of men
and women in the different occupational fields.
